Løvold Solutions, Christian Jakhelln AS and Clemens Eiendom have been collaborating in planning this long-ranging development project, knocking three properties together to make one, and agreeing to a three-way ownership of the company Molobyen Utvikling AS. .
The development area is between Molorota and Bispeveien in the heart of Bodø. In the fullness of time, this will become a whole new district of Bodø. The aim of the project is to create a pleasant, diverse and sustainable urban development for the future, focusing on people.
Molobyen Utvikling and Bodø Municipality have agreed on a local area plan that sets out the guidelines for how the area can be developed. The idea is a step-by-step transformation from a commercial area to a mixed residential, trade and cultural district. Participation and co-creation have been and will be key factors in the development of the area.
Temporary activities and involvement – together, we’re creating Molobyen
The people wo will make Molobyen grow are thos who fill the area with ideas and life. That’s why we’re committed to facilitating temporary activities and providing space for operators who are keen to establish themselves in the area while it is still under planning. The establishment of Beddingen Kulturhus (cultural centre) is one such example. The old boathouse now offers space for culture and offices, and operates as a meeting place for both performing arts and the local business community. Here you will also find Kraft, which is a centre for sustainable social development in the North.
This is just the start; now we are continuing to develop an exciting and diverse neighbourhood, working with those who are keen to be a part of this!
